ISO/IEC 27001 describes the requirements for an efficient Information Security Management System (ISMS) in managing and protecting information. The certification ensures appropriate selection of control objectives in conjunction with ongoing business processes. ISO 27001 also defines guidelines for the initiation, implementation, review and improvement of the policies formed and activities carried out to achieve the ever growing demands of information security.
